Taking pictures of  children and babies can be very testing, but the end results are what taking photographs are all about.  Capturing that "perfect picture" is a great way to remember the terrible two's, the first day of school or a great present for the family.  I try to involve everyone in the photo session, whether the parent is in the photo or not its always good to have the support and maybe a favorite toy to relax the child.  Depending on the age, I try to follow poses to try and get the best shots.  This is not always possible, so I aim to do pictures with the child active and attempt to capture the poses when I can.  Although the session maybe 45-60 minutes, it is usually best to allow a little time for changing, feeding or tantrums!
